Fifteen - London
Nice place and interesting food BUT do not expect Italian kitchen, even if the restaurant is Italian. To be honest it is very different from other London "flavors" and if I can say "weird tastes", this does not mean bad.
Good portions for the main course. What was actually missing from the food's we ordered, I believe it is the flavor intensity, including the extra idea for innovation.

The Reading Room at Claridge's
The Reading Room is a beautiful space with food and wine to match. The service is attentive and genial without being at all overbearing. The wines suggested were a perfect compliment to the food that we ordered and every bite was delicious. It is not a cheap night out if you go for the a la carte menu, but there menu of the day (5 selections each for starter, main and pudding) is quite a value.

Harrison's
Harrison's is a great local restaurant, with typical brasserie style cooking. They do a set menu Sunday - Thursday evenings which at £14 for two courses and £17 for three courses represents excellent value for money. The wine list is comprehensive with several wines being available by the glass or 500ml carafe, which is a nice touch. Dinner for four including wine and service cost £100 and the girls were given a bar of excellent dark chocolate with the bill.

La Rueda
One of the first positive steps was the number of Spaniards dining in the restaurant. The portions were generous for tapas, and we were stuffed by the end of it! Loved the atmosphere with old wine bottles lining the ceilings and you could almost smell the sawdust like they do in spanish bars. Service was also very cheerful and friendly - which we were slightly surprised about!

The Bombay Brasserie
very grand ambience, nice food, very good service. Especially enjoyed sea bass. I would say it is quite pricey though.

Toresano
Toresano is very friendly and does top notch food. We had Tapas and loved it. The staff made us very welcome and our food arrived quickly. There is a wide selection of tapas dishes, we worked our way through most of them and each one was delicious. They also gave us the best olives I have ever tasted.

Malmaison Brasserie
Service was a little slow on Sunday night, but it was Mother's Day and they seemed a little short-staffed at the Malmaison Brasserie in Clerkenwell. Cannot fault the amazing food.

Sardo Canale
Sardo Canale was a disappointment last night. After having a fabulous meal at Sardo main restaurant a while ago we decided to try its sister in Primrose Hill for Mother''s Day. The food was mostly quite awful. My brother-in-law took one bite of his main course (lamb & chickpea gnocchi, very poorly presented) & said he couldn''t eat it, so it was sent back. Chicken in lemon sauce was bland, tuna tartare was ok but flavour was swamped by heavily sugared ''caramelised'' onions. We won''t be going back!

Viet Grill : Menu is pretty ample, ambience is great (good for bringing dates) but not too condusive for famiilies as the whole restaurant only had ONE highchair for babies/tots. Definitely not catering to the "family with kids" market. Overall food was good although serving IS small. But their pho and Bún chả Hà Nội (BBQ pork) from th "one dish meal" is excellent!

Mango Room
I visited Mango Room on Mothers Day with my Grandmother and can say it was a good choice. The food was good - the service lovely - the portions were just right, my grandmother enjoyed the food a lot, the only criticism I would add is the bill - it was a bit steep, also if it was a choice of this or its rival down the road who's name I will not mention - I would choose the rival.

Savoir Faire
Savoir Faire has always been our favoite restaurant. The food is delious and we love the 'French' feel of the place. Unfortuately I wish they would expand their menu choices. After a number of visits it becomes very restrictive and it would heighten our anticipation of future visits to have more choices.

Thai Square - Putney Bridge
I love Thai Square in Putney -- partly because of the venue, a stylish liner-shaped, restaurant overlooking the river, and partly because I really like Thai food. I went to the restaurant, when it was a "destination" French venue -- and it was great then too. However, although Thai Square is expensive, it is more affordable than its predecessor. For a special occasion (mother's day on this occasion), you won't be disappointed. Brilliant service (quick, polite and unobtrusive) and lovely food!

We were a party of 11 crammed into a small area downstairs with one of the group sitting on a table that faced the wall!. We requested if we could be moved upstairs but this was declined even though the restaurant seemed quite empty so we were a bit disappointed by this. Food was good but nothing spectacular. Service was average and our poor waiter had to run up and down the stairs. We requested the dessert menu but it never came and the bill took 35 mins. Won't be going back!

Troia Bar and Restaurant
We went on a Sunday evening. Nice venue, great location but a little lacking in atmosphere. The food was excellent and the waitress was very helpful in suggesting dishes. Very good value for money.
